Hard Privacy in a Soft World

Textiles have been used to gather and store our individual stories and collective memories for thousands of years. Now that we can connect our textiles to the internet, there are new opportunities for creative expression and wicked problem-solving. At the same time, it unlocks the potential for Orwellian surveillance and occultish security practices. What do we want this world to look like? How will ideas of privacy change? Who controls the data? What will we do with it?

I’m super torn between this, wildest speculative fantasy, and community threads, but I’m throwing my cards in this group for now 🙂

Likewise Liza! I’ m torn between this group and the wildest speculative fantasy and hoping maybe the two groups can merge somehow – I can imagine a lot of ways in doing so. :|]
